Don’t we all wish to wake up to mouth-watering hotel breakfasts?
Hotel breakfasts are a must for a hotel lover. My top moments during a hotel experience always include my first eye contact with The Bed, a glimpse at The View and then all the Hotel Breakfasts that I will enjoy either by exploring an awesome buffet or nibbling from a luxury tray that will have landed on my duvet cover.
I have given a lot of thought to it and this is how I would describe breakfast perfection: a long and lazy meal with lots of treats I’d never have at home, healthy options and organic menus, local products and traditional dishes, instagram – friendly eggs and pancakes with maple syrup, freshly made croissants, not to mention a hot cup of Earl Grey tea, fresh fruits and juices.
There were several times in 2016 I approached this perfection. So find below my top hotel breakfasts for the year:

A bottle of fresh milk, an inspiring read and my sunbed by the pool were all I needed that spring morning which felt like summer…. That came of course after scrambled eggs with bacon and a bowl filled with yogurt and fresh fruits.

This is one of the yummiest breakfasts I had in 2016. At Totem Hotel in Madrid, I had the chance to try an excellent avocado toast, poached eggs with local ham as well as a traditional snack made of toasted bread and a spicy tomato sauce.
