Curated by The Hotel Trotter
Αncient Kallos is my favourite Greek resortwear brand. It draws its creative inspiration from ancient Greek beauty, its very name deriving from the ancient Greek word for beauty, “kallos”. The sun shining on the islands of the Aegean, the tranquillity of the Ionian Sea and the white colour of the Cyclades are all imprinted in the designs, bringing out a contemporary and modern version of the Greek element.
With Labrini and Stella Stavrou, the two creators of Ancient Kallos Brand
I have been wearing Ancient Kallos caftans and embroidered tops and dresses since their first collection in 2014. Therefore I was more than happy and proud to contribute to the curation of their first media event in Athens. In order to celebrate their new collection Mani and its new custom made “Syko” print , Stella and Labrini Stavrou the two sisters behind the brand invited a group of media ladies and bloggers to a pool lunch at The Margi Hotel in Vouliagmeni.

Inspired by the scent of the fig trees under the Greek sun, their new print Syko” (fig) has been designed exclusively for Ancient Kallos and applied on the finest extra light cottons.
With the Greek fig as a starting point and the shades of the pattern of the Ancient Kallos Syko collection, place mats with the same print and menu cards in the shape of fig leaves were created.
Embroidered linen napkins with the Ancient Kallos logo, pillows with the Syko print as well as rows of glass jars with greenery and purple calla lillies, created by the Fleria Lab, completed the elegant scenery by the pool and the olive trees of Margi hotel.

Nina Ioannidou
What is more, Nina Ioannidou of Fleria created a happening by gracefully taking it upon herself to teach us how to make jewelry with fresh flowers on the spot, which proved to be ideal for everybody’s look! The warm atmosphere and smiling people helped us have a great time!
