Matthew Williamson’s lively trademark colours and playful designs have become permanent guests of Hotel Belmond La Residencia in Deià, Mallorca. What we actually mean is that the acclaimed fashion designer has teamed with the famous hotel in order to launch Suite no 67, an enchanting parallel universe full of incredible details.
The hotel Belmond La Residencia is the beating heart of the beautiful mountain village Deià, providing a true escape in artistic surroundings. It is located amongst olive groves, offering both mountain and sea views. “I fell in love with Deià from the moment I first visited. It’s one of the places where I feel most creative and it was just such a natural and wonderful starting point for the whole hotel suite concept”, Matthew stated.
Suite no 67 started to welcome guests in 2018 and since then it has become one of the most requested rooms at Belmond La Residencia as well as the most fashionable place to stay in Mallorca.

Consisting of a spacious bedroom, an inviting bathroom and a luxurious living area, the suite feels like a private house within a hotel and is full of carefully selected items from different regions and periods, combined to create a one-of-a-kind ambiance. The designer’s striking wallpaper and upholstery fabric adorn some of the walls and pieces of furniture, complemented by bespoke international furnishing and locally sourced individual pieces from Mallorca.
