Impressive decorations, a Christmas market and a marching band bring festive vibes in the Athens Riviera!
Four Seasons Athens, (or Four Seasons Astir Palace Athens as it is its full name) made waves when it first opened its doors during the spring of 2019. Located in the most idyllic peninsula of Athens Riviera, the luxury resort is a serene, secluded getaway where ancient and modern Greece meet -and now it’s celebrating its first Christmas!
Not only that, but it does so with a full schedule of Christmas events and activities that are going on for the whole month (and then some more). First of all, there are the impressive decorations, transforming the hotel in a true winter wonderland… with a sea view. A huge tree, elegant and festive details, cute bears and tiny mistletoes are just some of the deco highlights that set the mood for the season.
The list of festive activities is long and rich, but a traditional European-style Christmas Market, with glühwein, hot chocolate, sweet and savoury treats, traditional lucky charms, arts-and-crafts activities, and magical carousel is definitely among the highlights.
Activities such as decorating a Christmas tree, storytelling afternoons, a Christmas treasure hunt, and a pony ride with Santa Claus are there to make sure the younger visitors enjoy the most out of their visit, while on the other hand, adults are treated with a lush, champagne-filled New Year’s Eve party in a surprise setting while fireworks light up the sky.
On the more cozy and chill side, guests can enjoy a festive evening tea in the Avra Lounge, with freshly brewed premium Jing teas, coffee and hot chocolate accompanied by a selection of sweet and savoury homemade delicacies. The Avra Lounge also hosts live jazz gigs every Thursday.
Meanwhile, there is also a Sunday brunch going on with a big buffet combining Italian dishes with urban gastronomy and of course, the Christmas Eve and the New Year’s Eve Dinner with five and seven-course meals majestic buffet of international cuisine and an abundance of champagne.
