La Reserve Paris – «Les contes de Noël» Christmas tales
It is a trompe-l’oeil yule log composed of three ‘volumes’. It features the hotel’s iconic colors, golden Cordoba leather, red lacquer and dark wood. Three volumes for two tales of different flavors. The cover of the first all-chocolate book opens to reveal the beautiful handwritten vision of the Christmas spirit according to the Head Pastry Chef of La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa.
Nolinski Hotel – The Christmas Log
Created by Yann Brys, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, with Madeleine soft biscuit, light cream with Tahitian vanilla, elderflower crémeux, red fruits compote and crispy shortbread made using PDO Charentes butter.
Hotel Grand Bretagne, Athens – Chapin and macarons
At the Grand Bretagne Hotel, the Christmas tree can also be eaten -in the form of the cutest festive treets and desserts guests can find in the Winter Wonderland buffet. Delicious cakes macarons complete the spectacular dessert party!
The Ritz Paris -All bear Christmas
How much cuteness can you bear? How much cuteness can you bear? The Ritz Paris Pastry chef Francois Perret created the sweetest Teddy Bear made entirely of chocolate! The dessert menu also includes a pair of chic golden chocolate keys and a delicious Christmas Log composed of a moist biscuit with torrefied hazelnuts in a chocolate spiral. Yummy!
Mandarin Oriental, Paris – Chocolate toys
The Mandarin Oriental Paris beautiful Yule log was created in collaboration with the architects of their new signature suite The Parisian Apartment. The bear theme is strong this year, this particular version being with two little chocolate toys on the top of a cake made of chocolate and passion fruit.
The Peninsula, Paris, – Vigne Enchantée
For Christmas 2019, The Peninsula Paris pastry chef Dominique Costa created the “Vigne Enchantée” yule log that gives pride of place to Pinot noir, spices and pear. The yule log is made of vine based on almond praline candy mixed to crunchy dark chocolate and vanilla mix, the whole coated with a fine glace. Wow!
Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo -The cloud cake
The Kumo Cloud cake created exclusively by the Mandarin Oriental pastry chef Stéphane Tranchet was already a sensation in Tokyo – and now there is a Christmas version of it with vanilla flavor adorned with a cute mistletoe! The collection is completed with the Sembikiya Queen Strawberries Cake, a Santa and a Snowman Forrest cake.
Four Seasons. London – White Millefeuille
Created by Michelin-starred Chef Anne-Sophie Pic, this is the hotel’s signature White Millefeuille dessert offered at La Dame de Pic restaurant
Le Meurice, Paris – The refreshing yule log
Award-winning pastry chef Cedric Grolet and his team transformed a traditional yule log into a light, delicate creation made with lemon, cereal and fresh herbs. Delicately laid on a crispy base, it will be covered with a lemon and yuzu ganache before the final flourish – a fluffy lemon mousse. The result is a wonderfully surprising dessert that makes a delicious festive indulgence!
