You have to know these stylish hotels in Greece, if you love aesthetics and #hotellife!
Great location, breathtaking view, heartwarming hospitality, comfortable rooms, exciting menu and the spa of your dreams: Greek hotels might have all of these, but style is something you find in a select few. It is either the decoration, the architecture or just the vibe that makes a hotel stylish and also a sense of a unique character as if the hotel is a second home of yours in which you feel cool and comfortable.
I have visited and loved many Greek hotels but then there are some which apply best to my take on style and sophistication.
Below there is a list of the 5 most stylish hotels in Greece for your summer vacation:
Tainaron Blue – Peloponnese
Tainaron Blue Retreat, a three room hotel, housed in a tall traditional Maniot stoned tower, perched on a steep slope, near Vathia. An early 19th-century castle-like building was transformed to an expertly renovated hotel, full of intriguing design details. Thick stone walls, tiny windows, small wooden staircases and hidden trapdoors is what you should expect finding in the rooms. Once there, you will be amazed by the finesse of the interiors and the luxurious facilities, not to mention a unique warm and cozy atmosphere that offers a fascinating journey into the past.
Anemi Hotel – Folegandros
Anemi Hotel in Folegandros has a unique, sophisticated approach to Cycladic simplicity. It is a group of white houses adorned with bougainvillea and decorated in minimal style with modern design touches. Personal favourite details are the traditional oil tins that serve as basil pots at the lobby (exactly what happens in the village yards) as well as the artful photos by Margarita Nikitaki capturing the summer life of Folegandros in the rooms. Every small detail in Anemi has been selected to reflect a stylish kind of island life; from the soft colors of the personnel outfit, to the cool Seletti porcelain tableware that resembles disposable paper dishes.
Racconto Boutique Design Hotel – Parga
Being a new entry that last summer was broadly discussed for its great style and for an international award that it received, Racconto Boutique Design Hotel was all Parga needed. A modern Adults Only hotel that combines functionality and comfort with a sense of luxurious privacy became the perfect spot for my weekend escape. All the interior spaces in the hotel have been lusciously decorated and furnished with eye-catching, quality items by renowned Italian and Greek brands. The “wow factor”of this hotel is the pool area, perched on a green slope full of olive trees, surrounded by the most awesome sunbeds I have ever seen.
Patmos Aktis – Patmos
Patmos Aktis is luxuriously serene, totally white, with architectural interventions that respect the setting and the history of the building. Whitewashed stone walls, picturesque cobbled streets adorned with all sorts of flowers that lead you from one area of the hotel to another, small gardens, all create a white maze of 56 rooms and suites that make you feel you are strolling down the alleys of Patmos Chora. Inside my luxurious suite, off-white curtains, sand coloured wooden floor and light grey walls created a wellness colour palette that I personally adored!
Kea Village – Kea
Kea Village is one of those hotels that by experiencing it you get to discover new things all the time. We stayed at a two storey house in pastel hues, with a master bedroom and a living room with a huge veranda overlooking the island, all ideally decorated in a laid-back island style. While strolling at our group of villas we found the cutest swimming pool hidden in a bush garden of Greek herbs, the second group of suites all made of stone and yet another pool with dark blue water surrounded by concrete and wood deck in a minimal style.
