Welcome to Patriarca, a new hotel in Cyclades, located at the heart of Apollonia, Sifnos’s capital
Well-known for authentic Greek hospitality experiences, Aria Hotels, the privately-owned boutique hotel and villas company, now expands onto the island of Sifnos, with the addition of the Patriarca boutique hotel to its portfolio. The hotel has been remodeled by Aria to meet modern-day hospitality standards but retains a strong architectural connection with the island’s rich history. Patriarca is located at the heart of Apollonia, Sifnos’s capital, right next to the Church of St. Spyridon, and provides direct access to the town’s picturesque streets.
The historic building that houses Patriarca is a landmark for Sifnos: built in 1650, it was once home to the Patriarch of Constantinople, Gregory VII (1923-1924). Following the typical style of houses in the Cyclades, Patriarca blends beautifully with the island landscape – its elegant, modern décor combines predominantly bright white with discreet splashes of colour. The boutique hotel offers an ideal hospitality experience for the modern traveler, who can choose from six beautiful rooms. Patriarca also features a swimming pool, sun terrace, lounge, and a shared kitchen and dining room where guests can prepare meals. A food and beverage service will be added at the beginning of the 2020 season.
