With a very strong New York-based identity and a hipster feel, The Ludlow is a new cool entry in the list of Manhattan hotels.
I arrived at The Ludlow Hotel in New York around 7 in the evening, after a super long trip from Athens (and a stop over in Istanbul) and frankly it was the mini bar that fixed my mood and somehow made me forget the jet lag… Cool snacks, beauty gadgets with witty messages, healthy juices and super foods, all in the smartest mini bar I have ever seen in a hotel room. Then I saw my private terrace – with the colors of the sky at dusk – and got really excited. How couldn’t I? When it comes to hotel rooms, it’s always about the details; and the view.
Originality vs luxury. All hotel afficionados can be lured by both of them!
The Ludlow Hotel New York is not a five-star hotel, yet it can offer a really unique experience.
With a style that combines hipster details with a very strong New York-based identity, it is a new cool entry in the list of Manhattan hotels, created by prolific hotelier Sean MacPherson and BD Hotel owners Ira Drukier and Richard Born.
Moi, I adored everything in it: from the atmospheric corridors to the exit signs and from the slouchy leather sofas at the lobby to the vintage Marshall speakers. Most of all, I fell completely in love with my balcony on the 7th floor – this is the floor that standard rooms come with terraces – and the stunning view of the city.
All these details that were everywhere, made me take countless photos. Enjoy:
