Talking about Les Chalets du Mont d’Arbois, 3 new luxury wooden chalets hidden in the snow near popular and elegant Megève, offering an exceptional opportunity to enjoy Alpine ambience with easy access to the valley’s numerous leisure activities.
Les Chalets du Mont d’Arbois is a Four Seasons Hotel with 41guest rooms and suites spread across three traditional Alpine Chalets, all grouped close together within 100 metres of each other. Wood paneling, thick carpets, fluffy bedding, luxury touches and design furniture form a perfect alpine – chic environment.
With these three unique buildings to choose from, guests enjoy a stay that suits their personal style, whether in the classic luxury and refined atmosphere of Chalet Noémie, the bohemian chic of Chalet Alice, or the more traditional Chalet Eve.
This ultra-luxurious brand new hotel in the French Alps is also home to Prima, the Michelin-starred restaurant helmed by Chef Nicolas Hensinger and overseen by Executive Chef Julien Gatillon of Michelin two-starred Le 1920, located within sister property Four Seasons Hotel Megève.
Both Four Seasons hotels, and indeed Megève itself, are the legacy of the Edmond de Rothschild family. Just after the First World War, Noémie de Rothschild, wife of Baron Maurice de Rothschild, was visiting St. Moritz in Switzerland and she dreamed of creating a similar ski resort in France, offering an exclusive atmosphere and a distinctly French character. On the advice of her ski instructor Try Smith, she discovered Megève, a small village dating back to the 13th century.
She was immediately captivated by its charming character, as well as the splendid panoramic views from the Mont d’Arbois plateau set above the village. The meticulous restoration and refurbishment of Les Chalets du Mont d’Arbois were actually personally overseen by Ariane de Rothschild, Chairwoman of the Board of the Edmond de Rothschild Group, in collaboration with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, famed for his interior design of Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris.
