The famous Tuscan destination Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco reopens with 19 new dreamy suites.
Located in the countryside of Montalcino in Tuscany, in the middle of the world-famous wine-growing region Brunello di Montalcino, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is one of the oldest and best-preserved country estates in Italy. Chiara Ferragamo, who acquired the historic estate in 2003 together with her husband, Massimo Ferragamo, teamed up again with designer Teresa Bürgisser to design the new suites of the luxury hotel.

Together they succeeded once again in implementing the rustic, elegant ambiance of Tuscan country life in a modern, luxurious setting. The creative concept evokes the “Sense of Place” philosophy of Rosewood, which reflects the character and local color of the Italian destination and is a trademark of every Rosewood hotel.
With these new suites added and a total of 43 keys, Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is now one of the most exclusive holiday resorts in Italy, offering seclusion and privacy in one of the most enchanting areas of Tuscany. The new accommodations are located in a complex adjacent to the original “Borgo”, the center of the 800-year-old property, and all offer access to a semi-Olympic infinity pool with a panoramic view.
Inside the dreamy suites, discreet luxury meets Tuscan elegance
Owner Chiara Ferragamo and interior designer Teresa Bürgisser have cleverly combined antique pieces and fabrics specially designed for Rosewood Castiglion del Boco with modern comfort touches and cutting-edge technology. Wrought iron and wood canopy beds, hand-sewn curtains, pure virgin wool carpets, Tuscan terracotta and ceramic mosaics are also key elements of the interior design. With the choice of materials, fabrics and colors, Ferragamo and Bürgisser promise their guests the experience of Tuscan country life in its most refined form.
With the reopening, the resort also unveils the extensively renovated Osteria La Canonica restaurant, including a larger, newly equipped kitchen and a new breakfast concept that offers all-day dining indoors or outdoors. Authentic Tuscan cuisine by Chef Matteo Temperini, who is known for his Michelin stars and his passion for ingredients from the region, as well as fresh products from the hotel’s own organic garden, the range of wines from the hotel’s own vineyards, and the relaxed atmosphere of the Osteria complete the relaxing and enjoyable stay perfectly. Wine tours and tastings are also famous at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. One of them is the so-called “Vertical Tasting”, an extraordinary and private experience in which guests can learn all about the details of winemaking during their visit to the wine cellar and taste six of the best vintages of the in-house Brunello di Montalcino. The property is also home to 11 villas restored from 17th and 18th-century Tuscan farmhouses.
