Asian flavours to die for but also some of the most original and delicious cocktails you have ever tasted
Inbi restaurant has a name for gourmet Asian cuisine at its most luxurious.
Every summer, the well-known Asian restaurant, Inbi, opens at Costa Navarino, one of the most famous resorts of the country, situated at gorgeous Messinia in Peloponnese.
Messinia is one of my favourite vacation places so every summer I spend some days there, ensuring that my schedule includes a dinner at Inbi in Costa Navarino. The famed resort Costa Navarino boasts a number of gourmet dining options for its guests, the most alluring of which is Inbi.
At a magical spot and with aesthetics that combine western minimalism with Japanese elements, Inbi offers an exceptional culinary journey. Its design is a synthesis of east and west, referencing the oriental cuisine as well as the glorious coastal location in which it is set.
The attention to detail is reflected not only in the taste and the finest ingredients but also in the presentation of each dish. (Warning: anyone that loves Japanese cuisine may find the pictures of this article dangerously mouth-watering). We could not expect less than a superb wine list to complete every dinner. Credits for the fulfilling experience to Victor Kouroupis, the owner and operator of Inbi Restaurant as well as the man behind a series of other successful, visionary gastronomic and entertainment projects.
This summer, my friends and I tried some really delicious dishes, such as the succulent Wagyu beef (a premium Japanese beef, famous for its quality and way of breeding) which belongs to the signature dishes of Inbi. On the arrival of the tuna tartare, everyone was dazzled and agreed that we were tasting one of the best of the kind. It was accompanied by wasabi flavoured ice cream, which I personally cannot forget since then.
A crispy and spicy tempura shrimp dish followed, and then a refreshing king crab avocado quinoa salad and a top notch assortment of sashimi and sushi rolls. Our selection included our favourite dragon rolls, also among Inbi’s signatures, a savoury combination of eel, cucumber, avocado and wasabi mayo. Last but not least, a melt in the mouth black cod dish with honey miso sauce completed this perfect dinner. At the end, we all indulged in some expertly conceived and made desserts.
Let’s now talk a bit about drinking at Inbi. Cocktails are nothing but ordinary at Inbi.
The mixologist Panagiotis Papavramopoulos not only creates his own blends but also presents them in the most spectacular way. He also experiments with regional herbs and is willing to serve you a custom-made drink after enquiring about your preferences.
Dining at Inbi can only be described as a real feast for the taste as well as the eyes. So enjoy my pictures and next time you find yourself at Messinia, book a table at this amazing restaurant.
