Executive Chef Schilo van Coevorden of the Brasserie at the Conservatorium hotel in Amsterdam was just like Van Gogh triggered by the exotic colours, flavours and textures of Japan. He and his culinary team created a delicious afternoon tea menu, inspired by the exhibition at the neighboring Van Gogh Museum ‘Van Gogh & Japan’.
Vincent van Gogh had great admiration for Japanese printmaking and this spectacular exhibition unravels how he has put the Japanese examples into his own hands and how this inspired Van Gogh’s work.
In honour of the exhibition, the Conservatorium also launches two exclusive Van Gogh Suites. Located in the Museum Square district, the true heart of the city, the Conservatorium is an architectural masterpiece that combines a landmark heritage building with graceful, contemporary design.
The Van Gogh suites are bookable from 23 March until 24 June 2018 and will grant you direct access to the exhibition, and the possibility to continue this experience in the surroundings of your hotel suite.
