Bath’s iconic hotel, Abbey Hotel, launches a new fudge-making experience
Abbey Hotel is revealing the secrets of fudge-making, in a new partnership with Fudge Kitchen – Bath’s celebrated luxury fudge maker – just around the corner from the hotel. During an indulgent two-night stay, sweet-toothed guests will enjoy a mouth-watering masterclass, creating a batch of artisanal fudge to take home.
The 90-minute fudge-making workshop will take guests on a sweet adventure, teaching the art of fudge making and giving guests the opportunity to sample several of the 20 devilishly-delicious flavours. Under the expert guidance of a professional fudge-maker, guests will roll up their sleeves and have some fun at creating their very own batch.
Founded in 1983, Fudge Kitchen is an artisan producer of handmade fudge, with seven high street shops and 35 years’ experience. Their recipes date back to 1830 and the team still make fudge by hand on marble slabs. Offering a huge array of flavours, the American-style slab fudge is made using whipping cream instead of butter, giving a creamy texture and distinctive flavour. Inspired by a wealth of new-found knowledge and fuelled by their handmade fudge delights, guests can spend the rest of their weekend indulging their sweet tooth and discovering the foodie delights of Bath, as recommended by Abbey Hotel.
With 62 individually-designed bedrooms, a delicious restaurant and a creative bar, Abbey Hotel is a destination itself. Housed in three former Georgian townhouses, moments from Bath’s most historic sites, the hotel combines a welcoming atmosphere with a strong sense of fun. Allium is one of Bath’s finest restaurants, with food masterminded by head chef Rupert Taylor, while ArtBar serves some of the best cocktails in town.
Combining a deeply comfortable two-night stay with a delicious, fun culinary experience, a fudge-filled weekend in Bath awaits…
