The lobby is decorated with floating masks and feathers that add a fun and exciting touch. Meanwhile, the iconic Atrium Bar has been transformed into a joyful menagerie of giant fabric animals wearing renaissance ruffs and masks. Here, Head Bartender Edoardo Sandri has created four new cocktails to pair with sharing dishes by Executive Chef Paolo Lavezzini, offering guests an exceptional culinary experience.
The aperitivo experience at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze pays homage to famous carnivals in Venice, Viareggio, New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro. For each city, Sandri and Lavezzini have worked together to create a cocktail/food pairing that perfectly embodies the destination’s spirit and flavours.
The Venice-inspired cocktail combines Tanqueray Ten, anis and chamomille with local coccoli with seaweed, mortadella and black truffle. Meanwhile, the Viareggio cocktail features Talisker, Marsala Superiore, tangerine, and vanilla, paired with typical focaccia with clams. The New Orleans-inspired cocktail combines Zacapa 23, choco donut, passion fruit and Perrier served with milk bread, flank and mustard mayonnaise. Finally, the Rio de Janeiro cocktail contains Ketel One, vintage port, and blood orange, served with bolinho de bacalhau.
The carnival theme doesn’t end there. The Spa also gets in on the action, offering a beauty approach to carnival with their Gold Perfection facial treatment. This treatment bestows total radiance on the face through the refinement of a 24-carat gold mask combined with powerful antioxidants and a luxurious face massage using citrine stones, ensuring guests leave with a long-lasting glow.
