Costa Navarino is set to reopen for the 2026 season with a destination wide calendar shaped by Messinian heritage and Homeric storytelling. Key resort openings begin February 27, with major programming running through spring, summer, and autumn.
The News
Costa Navarino’s 2026 season begins with a phased return across its four flagship resorts, alongside a calendar that spans golf, tennis, gastronomy, wellness, and live programming across the destination. The Westin Resort Costa Navarino reopens on February 27, 2026, followed by Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino on March 31, W Costa Navarino on April 2, and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort on April 8.

The reopening schedule also signals how each property will play its role this year. The Westin leans into family travel and outdoor sport, with access to Costa Navarino’s four 18 hole golf courses, plus youth training programmes including NBA Basketball School, football camps, and junior tennis camps at the Mouratoglou Tennis Center.

Mandarin Oriental positions the season around wellness and high level culinary collaborations, including a retreat led by Taryn Toomey, founder of The Class, a series of guest chef dinners with Michelin starred names, and wine experiences that include Château Margaux.

W Costa Navarino places emphasis on dining, mixology, and music programming, while also expanding tailored services for OASIS Villas with two and three bedrooms. The Romanos returns with a season built around local produce, updated wellbeing programming, and enhanced villa services, while the broader Costa Navarino Villa Rentals portfolio adds larger five and six bedroom options for groups.
Landscape, Heritage, and the Odyssey Thread
Costa Navarino’s seasonal narrative leans into place rather than spectacle. The strongest cue is the setting itself, with experiences staged across the destination’s natural backdrops, from beachfront to olive groves, and anchored by the Bay of Navarino.

A new experiential journey draws inspiration from the Odyssey, linking storytelling to specific historical sites integrated into the destination’s activities. Complementing this are hands on workshops in sculpture, weaving, ceramics, and jewellery, as well as tasting seminars intended to foreground Messinian craft and food culture.
Dining, Wellness, Sport, and the Season Calendar
Dining is positioned as the season’s headline language, with experiences designed to move across locations and formats. Symposio anchors the concept of a ritualised meal staged in natural settings, from the beach to centuries old olive groves. W Costa Navarino brings back Chefs on the Beach, while Messinian Roots runs at The Romanos and The Westin, inviting guest chefs to reinterpret local cooking through contemporary technique and produce led menus.

Mandarin Oriental strengthens its culinary calendar with collaborations involving Michelin starred chefs, including Frédéric Anton and Arnaud Lallement, alongside wine programming that features producers from Greece and abroad, including Château Margaux.

Wellness programming is described as a blend of classical reference points and contemporary practice, with a focus on longevity, recovery, and sustainable pacing. The season includes the Messinian Wellbeing Festival, Seasonal Wellbeing Weeks, and multi day retreats centred on movement, resilience, and mental reset.

Sport remains a core pillar, with golf across four 18 hole courses, tennis, water sports, hiking, and cycling. The calendar also includes international events with fixed dates. The Legends Tour returns June 13 to 18, 2026, AEGEAN Messinia Pro Am marks its 20th anniversary June 24 to 28, 2026, and PPC IRONMAN 70.3 Costa Navarino is set for October 24 to 26, 2026.
Evenings, Festivals, and Navarino Agora
The social programme runs in parallel, from Easter celebrations that centre on tradition, music, and food, to a May Day festival and the Messinian Summer Feast. Music takes a formal slot under Costa Navarino Soundtrack, spanning international pop acts and electronic live sets. Comedy is also part of the schedule, including Stand Up Comedy Nights with a performance by Jimmy Carr, while the Messinia Jazz Festival, curated by Gazarte, connects Greek talent with international jazz voices.

Navarino Agora returns from April as a dining, culture, and shopping hub, with new street food oriented concepts ranging from sushi and smash burgers to souvlaki, plus an events programme designed to draw both resident guests and visiting families.
