Design and Interiors of Le Coucou
Each facet of the property’s design, from the architectural build-out of the hotel to the custom design work and painstakingly detailed elegance of the interior decor reflects the history and traditional aesthetic of the region while also adding Pierre Yovanovitch’s taste for art and signature playful aesthetics.
Within the two-year design process, 130 site-specific furniture and lighting pieces have been specially created for the hotel, made in partnership with skilled craftsmen throughout Europe. Decorated in the most updated alpine style, each room is featuring bespoke floor to ceiling elements, from the custom floor covering, seating, wallpaper, and lighting, created specifically by Yovanovitch and team to emphasize the stunning views available from each room.
Art is central to the hotel design, with a selection of more than 160 artworks specially chosen for the property. There are also two four-bedroom ski-in ski-out luxury chalets that combine five-star luxury amenities with the detailed craftsmanship found in a traditional alpine home. Each is fully equipped with four en-suite bedrooms, a spacious living area, and a games area as well as a private ski room, pool and spa.
