London’s The Lanesborough introduces a limited-edition Afternoon Tea inspired by Season 4 of Bridgerton, launching January 2026 in collaboration with Netflix, Shondaland, and Hendrick’s Gin.
The News
The Lanesborough will debut a Bridgerton-inspired Afternoon Tea in January 2026, timed with the release of Season 4 of Bridgerton. The experience coincides with the season’s two-part launch on Netflix on January 29 and February 26, 2026, and is presented in collaboration with Shondaland.

The limited-edition Afternoon Tea continues The Lanesborough’s series of seasonal concepts, translating Regency-era social rituals into a contemporary hotel setting. Served beneath the hotel’s signature glass dome, the experience pairs classic British teatime with narrative references drawn from the new season, alongside the debut of a new Hendrick’s Gin expression created for the collaboration.
Design & Atmosphere

Afternoon Tea is served in The Lanesborough’s domed dining room, a neoclassical space defined by chandeliers, pale stone, and a sculptural bas-relief ceiling composed of 250 hand-crafted forms. By day, the room is filled with filtered natural light; by evening, it shifts into a more theatrical setting, echoing the candlelit ballrooms and salons associated with Regency London. The setting reinforces the hotel’s long-standing identity as one of the capital’s most formal and architecturally resolved interiors, offering a fitting backdrop for a Bridgerton-themed concept without overt theatrics. The experience positions afternoon tea as a form of contemporary storytelling rather than ritual, aligning with the site’s wider view of afternoon tea, reimagined.
The Experience
The menu is created by Head Pastry Chef Jolan Thiry and draws inspiration from key characters and storylines in Season 4. Savoury selections include finger sandwiches and tartlets featuring Westcombe Cheddar with spring onion aioli, Scottish smoked salmon with citrus crème fraîche, harissa-spiced chicken with basil, and cucumber, avocado, and mint on truffle potato bun. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are also available.

Desserts reference the season’s central figures through refined patisserie. Highlights include The Lady in Silver, a lemon sponge layered with vanilla cream and yuzu gel finished with silver leaf and pearl detailing; Benedict’s Masquerade, a chocolate and tonka bean mousse with hazelnut praline; and Let Love Take Flight, a blackberry mousse on sesame sponge. Cottage Bloom completes the selection with a floral composition of ginger and green apple mousse, apple compote, and ginger sablé.
The drinks menu introduces a cocktail made with a new Hendrick’s Gin expression, served publicly for the first time as part of this collaboration. The Forbidden Love cocktail combines the gin with vanilla, lemon, and peach and jasmine soda, while a non-alcoholic Beneath the Mask offers passion fruit, lychee, and rose water notes.
TheHotelTrotter Insider Tip
Request an early afternoon seating to experience the dining room under natural light, when the glass dome and ceiling reliefs are most visible and the atmosphere feels closer to a private Regency salon than a theatrical set.
The Afternoon Tea will be available for a limited period from late January 2026, aligning with the staggered release of the new season.
