Season 4 of The White Lotus is set to film at Château de la Messardière in Saint-Tropez, with production scheduled to run from late April through October 2026.
Season 4 of The White Lotus will shoot at Château de la Messardière, a 19th-century palace-turned-luxury hotel in Saint-Tropez on France’s Côte d’Azur. Variety reported that the HBO anthology series will use the property as one of its primary filming locations while creator Mike White continues writing the upcoming season.
Château de la Messardière is a palace hotel set within 32 acres of landscaped grounds overlooking Saint-Tropez. The property is part of the Airelles Collection, a portfolio of five-star hotels owned by Stéphane Courbit, founder and chairman of Banijay Group. The hotel includes suites, multiple restaurants, spa facilities, sports amenities, and access to Pampelonne Beach via private transfer.
According to Variety, filming for Season 4 is expected to begin at the end of April and continue through the end of October. As with previous seasons, production will not be confined to a single property. Château de la Messardière is one of several locations planned for the shoot, with additional scenes expected to be filmed elsewhere along the French Riviera and at a hotel in Paris.
The series has previously combined multiple real-world hotels to create its fictional resort settings, including properties in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand. Season 4’s Riviera setting marks a shift to mainland France, with production timing overlapping the Cannes Film Festival period.
HBO declined to comment when contacted regarding the filming plans. Plot details for the season remain undisclosed, although the series is expected to continue its established format of following hotel guests and staff over the course of a week. Sources cited by Variety indicate that the Cannes Film Festival may factor into the storyline, though this has not been confirmed.
