The Lake Como EDITION redefines luxury hospitality in Italy’s most iconic destination with avant-garde design, Michelin-starred dining by Mauro Colagreco, and cutting-edge wellness by The Longevity Suite
A New Kind of Como Glamour
For centuries, Lake Como has epitomized la dolce vita, where poets, aristocrats, and movie stars escape to bask in mountain-framed serenity. Now, a new era begins. The Lake Como EDITION, the latest jewel in Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio, dares to reinterpret the timeless charm of the lake through a distinctly modern lens. Developed by Omnam Investment Group and Bain Capital, this opening marks a radical departure from traditional Como hospitality, introducing a concept that blends design innovation, culinary mastery, and cutting-edge longevity wellness into one breathtaking destination.
“
This is the next frontier for EDITION,” says George Fleck, the brand’s Global SVP. “Lake Como’s legendary elegance now meets a new generation of luxury—defined by individuality, sophistication, and a powerful sense of place.”
Setting: Where Heritage Meets Modern Energy
Nestled on Como’s western shore in Cadenabbia, facing the storybook village of Bellagio, the hotel revives a 19th-century lakeside palazzo once known as The London. From here, sweeping views of snow-tipped peaks, shimmering turquoise waters, and lush Mediterranean gardens frame every vista.

The Lake Como EDITION reinvents the Italian notion of villeggiatura—the long, leisurely countryside stay once cherished by Europe’s elite, transforming it into a contemporary sanctuary for international tastemakers.

Just an hour from Milan, it’s poised to become a magnetic gathering place for creative minds seeking both reflection and connection, morning yoga to midnight cocktails.
Design: Neri&Hu’s Vision of Modern Italian Grandeur
Designed by Neri&Hu in collaboration with architects De.Tales and EDITION Creative Directors Kirstin Bailey and Paul Haslhofer, the hotel balances old-world soul with sculptural modernism. A cantilevered teak-wood entrance, veiled in wisteria and climbing roses, ushers guests into a realm of marble, brass, and soft light. Inside, the white Palomba stone terrazzo floors, archways, and soaring ceilings recall Carlo Scarpa’s poetic minimalism. The interiors feel alive – part gallery, part sanctuary – where heritage details meet an unmistakably contemporary rhythm.

The Lobby Bar, with its five-meter ceiling, celadon-green marble counter, and fresco-style landscapes by Costanza Alvarez De Castro, feels like an elegant living room for the well-traveled. A billiard table and Steinway piano anchor the space, signature symbols of EDITION’s sophisticated playfulness.
Rooms: Minimalism with a Soul

Each of the 148 rooms, including 25 suites and two penthouses, mirrors the lake’s calm palette—soft blues, creams, and walnut. Materials whisper luxury: Calacatta marble, fluted glass, brass details, and hand-tufted rugs.

Lakeside rooms open onto restored French balconies where mornings begin with birdsong and an espresso over the water. In Villa Gina, nine private guestrooms extend the experience into a serene standalone haven, ideal for those seeking ultimate privacy amid Como’s cinematic backdrop.
Culinary Excellence by Mauro Colagreco
At the helm of all dining concepts is Chef Mauro Colagreco, of Mirazur—voted Best Restaurant in the World. Making his Italian debut, Colagreco crafts four unique experiences that celebrate his heritage through the lens of sustainability and nature.
-

-
Cetino, the signature restaurant, embodies fine dining as art—an exploration of land, sea, and color where each ingredient is treated as a masterpiece.
-
Renzo, the all-day terrace restaurant, invites convivial dining inspired by Italian family gatherings, overlooking the endless expanse of the lake.
-
The Pool Restaurant & Bar channels Mediterranean ease, serving fresh seafood and chilled spritzes on Como’s first floating pool deck.
-
And, of course, the Lobby Bar, a hallmark of the EDITION brand AND a study in refined simplicity, where local wines, Riviera-inspired bites, and marble-clad elegance set the tone for every stay.
Wellness: Where Beauty Meets Longevity
Lake Como has long been a healing retreat for mind and body. The Lake Como EDITION elevates this legacy through its partnership with The Longevity Suite Group, introducing the second Longevity SPA in Italy. The spa is a serene symphony of science and soul: biohacking rituals, dry float therapy, infrared rejuvenation, and oxygen-hydrogen treatments designed to extend vitality and restore balance. Floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the thermal pool in natural light, while herbal saunas, Turkish baths, and outdoor terraces frame the lake in every direction.
Beyond the Hotel: A New Way to Experience the Lake
Guests can explore the Lake Como Greenway straight from the property’s promenade, or board EDITION’s private boats for scenic lake tours. The hotel’s floating pool and lounge bar offer an irresistible invitation to linger, martini in hand, as golden hour paints the water in liquid light. Whether arriving by ferry or by private yacht, one thing is certain: the new Como begins here.
A Contemporary Classic in the Making

As General Manager Anton Moore puts it, “We’ve created a retreat that honors Lake Como’s timeless legacy while introducing a fresh energy through design, dining, and wellness. The Lake Como EDITION bridges the grandeur of history with the pulse of the present.” Previewing now ahead of its grand opening in March 2026, The Lake Como EDITION is more than a hotel—it’s a statement. A modern ode to Italian luxury for travelers who crave meaning, beauty, and belonging in every stay.
