Opening in December 2025, Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin brings refined elegance to Courchevel 1850. Designed by Tristan Auer, the ski-in ski-out retreat combines French alpine tradition, contemporary art, and Rosewood’s signature hospitality
The New Rosewood Era in the French Alps
This December, Rosewood Hotels makes its alpine debut with Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, a glittering new chapter for the brand and its second property in mainland France. Nestled high within Courchevel 1850’s prestigious Jardin Alpin enclave, the resort reimagines the golden age of the 1960s ski scene through a distinctly modern chalet approach.
Here, the legendary glamour of Courchevel meets a new generation of global travelers who seek connection, culture, and understated luxury. Ski-in ski-out convenience blends effortlessly with the warmth of a private chalet, while every experience feels handcrafted to celebrate the art of alpine living.
As Rosewood Hotel Group President Radha Arora notes, “We’re delighted to introduce Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin as an idyllic alpine retreat that celebrates the spirit of the French Alps and offers guests unparalleled access to the slopes.”
Inside the Design by Tristan Auer
The interiors of Rosewood Courchevel bear the unmistakable touch of acclaimed French designer Tristan Auer. Known for his ability to balance drama with intimacy, Auer approaches the property not as a hotel, but as a private mountain mansion.

Natural timber and stone create a tactile dialogue with shimmering copper details and mirrored surfaces that catch the alpine light in unexpected ways. Guests enter through intricately carved doors into a world where each corner evokes discovery, from sculptural fireplaces to terraces that open toward the snow-dusted peaks of Les Trois Vallées.
A highlight of the design narrative is a site-specific installation by artist Olafur Eliasson. His piece Two harmonious yet different crystals sharing views and reflection transforms mirrored walls into an infinite geometry of light, reflection, and snow.
“We wanted to capture the glamour of the mountains while transporting guests into another world,” Auer explains. “A place where every space invites exploration beyond the expected.”
Rooms and Signature Houses with a View
The resort’s 51 rooms and suites reflect a refined mountain aesthetic, blending comfort with architectural precision. Each accommodation includes panoramic terraces framing the vast snowy expanse of Les Trois Vallées, the largest ski area in the world.
At the summit of the collection are three signature houses, each designed as a private alpine sanctuary for families or groups of friends. The largest, the Jardin Alpin Apartment, is a grand four-bedroom residence with a private elevator, cinema room, professional kitchen, and art collection. Expansive terraces overlook the peak of La Saulire, setting the scene for slow mornings or candlelit dinners after a day on the slopes.
Managing Director François Arrighi describes the vision as “a destination that celebrates the joy of alpine life – a place to gather, explore, and create lasting memories in one of the world’s most beautiful settings.”
Alpine Dining with a Mediterranean Twist
At the heart of Rosewood Courchevel lies a restaurant that brings the flavors of the French and Italian Alps to life. By day, it is a sun-lit hub where skiers gather for leisurely lunches on the terrace, savoring alpine classics like Savoyard fondue and slow-cooked regional dishes.
As night falls, the atmosphere transforms. Warm lighting, vintage wines, and elegant cocktails create the perfect après-ski setting, framed by mountain views and the subtle pulse of curated music. It is here that Rosewood’s philosophy of “a sense of place” becomes tangible — a celebration of conviviality and craft.
Asaya Spa: Wellness at Altitude
Rosewood’s holistic wellness concept, Asaya, makes its alpine debut at Le Jardin Alpin with a sanctuary dedicated to rejuvenation and reflection. In partnership with Maison EviDens de Beauté and Sodashi, the spa offers treatments designed to restore balance after a day on the slopes.
The signature Ski Legs Revival Treatment combines cryotherapy, Recovery Air Jet Boots, and aromatic oils to relieve tired muscles and enhance circulation. For the complexion, the Oxylight 3D Radiance Ceremony uses advanced technologies — from diamond microdermabrasion to oxygen infusion and LED therapy — to achieve a luminous post-mountain glow.
Complementing these rituals are meditative practices such as reiki, sound baths, and Mountain Pilates sessions performed against sweeping alpine vistas.
Elevated Ski Experiences
True to Rosewood’s ethos of bespoke hospitality, the Ski Concierge team acts as both guide and curator, crafting experiences that go far beyond traditional itineraries. Guests can embark on private sunrise or sunset ski sessions through the exclusive First and Last Track experience, tracing untouched snow in complete serenity.
For those seeking moments of pure romance, private dinners are hosted in a secluded summit chalet, complete with local Savoyard cuisine and a private fireworks display under the stars. With ski-in ski-out access and a seamless service philosophy, every detail feels intuitive, refined, and deeply personal.
A New Landmark for Courchevel
With Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin, the brand extends its European story from the grandeur of Hôtel de Crillon in Paris to the snowy elegance of the Alps. The result is a rare balance of adventure and restoration, where design, nature, and emotion converge.
Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alpin invites guests to rediscover alpine life at its most artful, setting a new standard for winter escapism in the French Alps.
