Located in the heart of the city’s musical scene, this fresh hotel gives luxury an 80s tinge!
When you fall in love with a place, you actually feel moved by its atmosphere, the décor, the lights -something that makes you feel alive. The ReMIX Hotel , Paris’ new vibrant hotel entry, is one of those places.
Located park side at Parc de la Villette, at the heart of the musical scene of the French capital (Zénith, Philharmonie/Cité de la musique, Grande Halle, Cabaret Sauvage, Trabendo, Glazart, À la Folie, Petite Gare soon FAWA), this new establishment is at the crossroads of all music styles and puts an 80s spin in Parisian hospitality.
The London-based interior designer Saar Zafrir pilots the project and signs a pop-rock fantasy with 259 keys. He plays the cords with vintage gimmicks and glamorous touches, combining spherical-shaped lamps and neon lights to create an atmosphere reminiscent of both a club and a music hall. In the rooms, a ghetto blaster and a pink dial phone mix with acoustic foam, marble and velvet. In the hallways, lit-up catchwords, optical effects and concealed refrains steal the show.
The hotel advocates diversity of people and lifestyles. Business customers can look forward to inspiring surroundings and over ten meeting rooms. Groups of friends can enjoy rooms accommodating up to 7 guests, and love birds can nestle in a cozy suite. The property is a third place that is embedded to the neighborhood pulse, offering a co-working space, a bar and a restaurant!
Marvin & the Gang, is somewhat the showcase of the ReMIX hotel. In this bar-restaurant opening on to the street Corentin Cariou, the architect compiles references to the Fame decade: the 80’s. Here, everything follows the same rhythm: Soul Food, Soul Music and Soul Vibes. This place celebrates Afro-American culture around the clock, from the food that is served to the music that is played. The “to share” dishes are a colorful mix of simplicity and generosity. The service is friendly and dynamic. The surrounding vibe is retro, without wistfulness… And it is not all about Fame. It is also Back to the Future meets Harlem!
