The journey began with a private transfer from Athens to Lavrio port, followed by a luxurious 40-minute speedboat ride across the Aegean Sea. This carefully choreographed experience culminated in a seamless transition from boat to buggy, whisking me through the hillsides and delivering me to my stunning cliffside villa.

The Bond Beach Club is a beachside haven, with its white sands and crystal-clear waters, invites guests to unwind under the shade of tamarisks while savoring a fusion of Peruvian, Japanese, and Mediterranean flavors. I enjoyed dishes like a superfood salad with prawns and quinoa and the “4 Ways Fish,” featuring the freshest catch of the day prepared as ceviche, sashimi, and grilled delights. It was here that I truly understood the essence of barefoot luxury—there was no need for shoes, just the warm sand beneath my feet and the gentle sway of the music.
From Breakfast Rituals to Sunset Cocktails
The resort’s culinary journey extends to breakfast, a ritual in itself. Guests can choose from three stations: a bakery offering freshly made pastries and coffee, an open kitchen preparing à la carte dishes, and a buffet showcasing local produce like cheeses and cold cuts. As the day wound down, Kosmos Lobby Bar became the resort’s social hub. With its open-air atrium and panoramic sea views, Kosmos offered a relaxed setting for enjoying frappés, afternoon tea, or evening cocktails. As the sun set, the bar transformed into a vibrant space with live music, DJs, and a selection of signature cocktails, making it the perfect spot to relax and reflect on the day’s experiences.

Dinner at Atria, the resort’s lively and elegant restaurant, was another highlight of my stay. Located at the heart of the resort, Atria serves refined Greek cuisine with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. The menu is a tribute to the timeless flavors of the Mediterranean, featuring dishes made with freshly caught fish, locally farmed meats, and homegrown herbs and produce. As I dined in the open-air dining room, where slices of sea and sky mingled with a warm island breeze, I savored every bite—grassy olive oil, plump tomatoes, creamy cheeses, and garlicky grilled fish. Each dish was composed with love and care, reflecting the rich culinary traditions of Greece.
A Surprise at Incognito Speakeasy Bar
Just when I thought the evening couldn’t get any better, I was treated to a surprise visit to the Incognito Speakeasy Bar. Hidden behind an unmarked door, this intimate bar is a treasure trove of rare rums, fine whiskies, and Cuban-inspired cocktails. With space for just 20 guests, the bar exudes an exclusive, clandestine vibe. Sipping on a masterfully crafted cocktail in this cozy setting was the perfect way to end a day of indulgence and discovery at One&Only Kéa Island.
