FLORENCE – La Réserve has announced the upcoming 2026 opening of La Réserve Firenze, a restored 15th-century palazzo offering curated guest experiences in Florence’s historic Oltrarno district.
A New Chapter for La Réserve and for Florence
Florence, a city that has perfected the art of beauty for centuries, is about to welcome a new masterpiece: La Réserve Firenze, opening in June 2026. The celebrated La Réserve brand, known for its discreet, design-driven properties in Paris, Geneva and beyond, makes its Italian debut on Via Santo Spirito in the bohemian Oltrarno district.

The project is a collaboration between Michel Reybier Hospitality and Olivia and Grégory Marciano, who acquired the 15th-century palazzo in 2022 and have since embarked on a meticulous restoration. Their shared vision is to create an intimate Florentine escape where heritage meets modern refinement.
Six Private Apartments with a Florentine Soul
Far from the bustle of large luxury hotels, La Réserve Firenze will comprise just six apartments, each designed to feel like a private residence complete with kitchen, dining area and generous living spaces. Interiors by Gilles & Boissier, the Paris-based design duo behind La Réserve Paris and Baccarat Hotel New York, blend Renaissance grandeur with contemporary flair, celebrating craftsmanship and quiet sophistication.

Guests can expect the atmosphere of a private home enhanced by full hotel services, a hallmark of the La Réserve experience.

Highlights include a rooftop terrace overlooking the city’s terracotta skyline, a secret bar, and elegant shared spaces such as a gym, library and lounge.
* The hotel also appears in our edit of the best new luxury hotels to visit in 2026.
Capturing the True Spirit of Florence
Every detail of La Réserve Firenze has been conceived to immerse guests in the spirit of Florence. From curated art collections to tailor-made cultural and culinary experiences, the property reflects the Marcianos’ personal connection to this beloved city. It is designed not only for travelers but for aesthetes who crave authenticity, intimacy and a sense of discovery.

As Michel Reybier often says, luxury today is about meaning and emotion. In Florence, that translates to la dolce vita refined: the sound of church bells, the scent of espresso and the quiet elegance of a palazzo reborn.
Florence’s Next Great Address
With just six residences, La Réserve Firenze promises to be one of the most exclusive openings of 2026, offering a rare blend of design, privacy and history. It is a new chapter for the La Réserve brand and a jewel in the crown of Florence’s evolving hospitality scene.

For design lovers, La Réserve devotees and anyone who believes a stay in Florence should feel like a love affair, this is the one to watch.
