The Reuben Brothers–owned hotel, developed and operated by Corinthia Hotels, will open in central Rome following a multi-year conversion of a former Bank of Italy building.
Corinthia Hotels will open a new hotel in Rome in February 2026, marking the brand’s debut in Italy. The property is located on Piazza del Parlamento and occupies the former headquarters of the Bank of Italy.

The hotel is being developed, leased and operated by Corinthia under contractual arrangements with Reuben Brothers, which acquired the historic building in 2019. Reservations are scheduled to open ahead of the February 2026 launch.
The 7,500-square-metre property has undergone a comprehensive restoration and conversion into a 60-room hotel, including 21 suites, across seven floors. Facilities will include two restaurants, a bar overlooking an internal courtyard, a spa located in the former bank vault, and rooftop amenities. Original architectural elements such as marble panelling, frescoes and carved wood have been retained, alongside new interiors by G.A. Design.

The building was originally completed in 1914 and served as a major financial institution for much of the 20th century. It is located in the Campo Marzio district, close to the Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna and Italy’s parliamentary buildings. The project continues Corinthia’s strategy of restoring landmark European properties, following recent and ongoing developments in cities including London, Brussels and Bucharest.
Jamie Reuben, Principal at Reuben Brothers, said the Rome project represents a further expansion of the group’s hospitality investments in Italy and Europe. Simon Naudi, Chief Executive Officer of Corinthia Hotels, confirmed that the Rome hotel will be both developed and operated by Corinthia as part of a new partnership between the two companies.
Danilo Zucchetti, Managing Director of the Rome property, said the hotel aims to open to guests in early 2026 as the city experiences increased luxury hotel development activity. He added that the property is intended to serve both international visitors and the local market.

Design work is complete and the project is now in its final development phase. Corinthia Rome will begin accepting bookings ahead of its February 2026 opening, with further operational details expected to be announced closer to launch.
