Zampano was a surprise to me for many reasons. I was invited to try the menu of this new restaurant that opened one year ago at the heart of Psiri area but there was a lot more to discover than its gourmet dishes.
First of all, I was happy to see a hip sophisticated place with such elegant decor details.
Biggest surprise, the fact that Zampano is housed in a beautifully renovated building of Athens under the only design hostel of the city called City Circus. The two owners explained to us their intention to create a unique hospitality concept, which they did! They have made a real gem, full of mid century furniture, and a special room that plays the role of a photo booth, where guests find circus accessories and photo shooting props.
Even if you will never consider staying at a hostel (like me, I have to confess), but you love the hotel life, you have to check City Circus and its downtown edge. It is beautiful, full of positive vibes and there’s always Zampano with a delicious menu, the smartest logo (referring to Zampano, the macho hero from the Fellini movie, La Strada), helpful stuff and modern crowd!
