Aethos Milan is entering a new era. Following a comprehensive redesign, the lifestyle-led property near the Darsena has reopened with newly awarded five-star status, refreshed interiors, reimagined guest rooms, expanded members’ spaces, and the return of its well-known Doping Bar.

Located in one of Milan’s most characterful districts, the hotel’s relaunch signals more than a simple refresh. It positions Aethos Milan as a more polished and design-conscious address in the Navigli area, while staying true to the sociable, creative spirit that has long defined the brand.

A New Five-Star Chapter for Aethos Milan

The reopening marks a significant step for Aethos in Milan, where the brand is sharpening its identity around informal luxury, community, and spaces designed to feel lived in rather than staged.

According to Aethos CEO Lily Wecker, the redesign reflects a vision of luxury rooted not only in aesthetics, but in atmosphere and genuine human connection. That philosophy now runs through the entire property, from the private members’ areas to the guest rooms and public spaces.

Redesigned Rooms With a More Layered Sense of Luxury

The hotel’s 35 rooms have been completely reimagined as individual, eclectic spaces that reference the building’s original architecture while introducing a more tactile and expressive design language.

Multi-layered headboards, rich colours, bespoke furniture, natural woods, and textural materials create interiors that feel warm, residential, and quietly distinctive. Rather than leaning into overly polished minimalism, the new look appears more assembled than decorated, offering a calm retreat from the lively energy of the Navigli district outside.

Doping Bar Returns With a New Terrace

One of the most recognisable elements of Aethos Milan is also back. Doping Bar returns with a new look and a stronger connection to the outdoors, thanks to a redesigned courtyard conceived as an urban oasis.

Ceramic floors, pergolas, soft textiles, warm lighting, and vintage-inspired furnishings bring a relaxed Milanese mood to the space, while geometric motifs and deep tones such as burgundy and forest green echo the palette used in the rooms. At the centre, a playful multi-tiered fountain designed for ice and bottles sets the tone for lingering aperitivo hours.

For many visitors, this part of the relaunch may prove especially appealing, reinforcing the hotel’s role not just as a place to stay, but as a destination for drinks, atmosphere, and social energy.

Cima Introduces a New Culinary Identity

Another important addition is Cima, a new restaurant reserved exclusively for Aethos members and hotel guests. With this opening, the property gains a more defined culinary dimension while also strengthening its community-driven positioning.
